Operation Walk Virginia is a private, non-profit, volunteer medical service organization which provides free joint replacement surgery for patients in developing countries. Because the pain and mobility limitations of arthritis can be severely disabling, joint replacement dramatically changes lives. During this one-week trip to Havana, Cuba, our 58-person team of medical professionals successfully operated on 41 patients, replacing a total of 28 knee and 24 hip joints.
